Take the complimentary cruise shuttle to the port gate, then walk through Recife Antigo to see Marco Zero and the synagogue. Catch a taxi or Uber to Olinda (R$15–25, 20 min). Walk the hilltop churches on foot — Sé Cathedral, São Francisco with its Golden Chapel, and São Bento monastery are all within a 1 km loop. Return by taxi to the port. Total entry fees are minimal (R$2–5 per church).

Both Brennand sites are about 15 km west of the port in the Várzea neighbourhood and not served by practical public transport — taxi or Uber is the only sensible option (R$30–50 each way, 25–35 min). Instituto Ricardo Brennand charges R$60–80 entry; Oficina Brennand charges R$50. Allow 2–2.5h for the Instituto and 1–1.5h for the Oficina. They are about 3 km apart — taxi between them.
