The Valley of the Kings (Wadi al-Muluk) holds 63 documented royal tombs cut into the limestone cliffs west of Luxor — including Tutankhamun (KV62), Ramesses VI (KV9), Seti I (KV17) and most New Kingdom pharaohs. The standard ticket admits to 3 tombs; Tutankhamun, Seti I and Nefertari (in the Valley of the Queens) require extra fees. Allow 2-3 hours.
