Pomaire's potters work the local brown clay (greda) much as their ancestors did, and the main street, Roberto Bravo, is lined with workshops and stalls. You'll find oven dishes, bowls, piggy banks and the famous little chanchitos, plus restaurants serving pastel de choclo in clay pots and empanadas as big as a plate. It's a relaxed, low-cost stop. Bring cash and bubble wrap if you're buying pottery.
