Late morning, when the fish scraps attract the sea lions
Sea lions haul out on the rocks and pontoons around the Muelle Turístico and the fish terminal, and hang around the boats waiting for scraps. You can watch them for free from the promenade. From the pier, local boatmen offer short trips round the bay for a few thousand pesos, passing the fishing fleet and the container berths. Boats leave when they fill up; pay in cash.
