Clear days for Fuji behind the shrine
In Fujinomiya at the foot of the volcano, this is the head shrine of the roughly 1,300 Sengen shrines dedicated to Mount Fuji. Its two-storey main hall, vermilion buildings and the clear spring-fed Wakutama pond sit directly below the peak, which fills the sky on a clear day.
