Rabjerg Mile is the largest moving dune in Northern Europe, a 40-metre-high sea of sand that marches roughly 15 metres north-east each year, slowly burying the landscape behind it. Climbing to the crest feels oddly Saharan, with wide views over the surrounding plantations and, on clear days, both coasts.
