Most ships dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) at Circular Quay, a 10-minute walk from the Opera House and the Circular Quay transport hub; ships at White Bay need a 10-minute taxi (~AUD 25) into the city first. From Circular Quay the public route is the 333 bus to Bondi Beach (~40 min), tap on with any contactless card or Opal at the same fare; the Opera House and Mrs Macquarie's Point are an easy walk from the quay. No tour bus needed — everything is frequent public transport or on foot.

This is a long day only sensible on a full or overnight Sydney call. From Circular Quay take a train to Central, then the Blue Mountains Line to Katoomba (~2h total; cruise coaches do it in ~90 min by road). At Katoomba, the 686 bus links the station to Echo Point and Scenic World in ~15 min. Tap-on Opal/contactless is capped (~AUD 19.30 weekday, ~AUD 9 Sunday) and covers the whole return. Scenic World's unlimited day pass is AUD 62 (€38). The DIY version skips Featherdale — it's a Blacktown-area detour that only works by private coach.
