From the city-centre berth at Quai Cronstadt it is a ~15–20 minute walk up to Gare de Toulon, then a TER train to Cassis in about 40 minutes for roughly €10. Cassis station sits 3.5 km above the port, so take the M1 navette shuttle (~€1) or walk ~25 minutes downhill to the harbour. Calanques boats leave straight from Cassis port — the 3-calanque circuit (Port-Miou, Port-Pin, En-Vau) is about 45 minutes and €21, bought on the day at the quayside ticket office (12 seats per boat, weather permitting).

Aix is the hardest DIY day from Toulon because there is no fast direct train. The reliable public route is a TER train Toulon → Marseille St-Charles (~55 min, ~€10), then the frequent Lignes Express bus 50 from beside the station to Aix (~35 min, ~€6), arriving at the Rotonde by the Cours Mirabeau. Everything in Aix — market, old-town lanes, Cézanne sights — is walkable from there; the transit is the whole cost, at roughly 1h30 each way.
