There is no pier, town, road or independent operator at this fjord - it is roadless wilderness 50 miles from Juneau, and Allen Marine only sells the from-ship catamaran through the cruise lines. The genuine DIY is to skip the paid boat entirely and watch the same fjord, waterfalls and glacier for free from the ship's open forward deck or a heated window lounge as the captain holds position and slowly rotates at the turnaround point. Bring binoculars and warm rain gear; no transport, ticket or booking is involved.

The fjord is roadless and the catamaran is the only close-up boat, sold only through the cruise lines - there is no independent pickup at the glacier. The DIY is to watch the fjord and glacier for free from the ship's deck, then simply let the ship carry you into Juneau at no cost, where you start an independent Juneau day on foot from the cruise dock.
