The Ringmuren loop is a defining Visby experience. You don't have to walk the whole 3.4 km to get the picture — Söderport and Norderport give easy sections of a few hundred meters with good views of the red-roofed old town below. If you want the full circuit, plan about an hour and stop at Kruttornet and the sea-side stretches for the best photos. The wall is uneven underfoot in places and has a few stair sections; it's an outdoor, all-weather activity so dress for the wind.
Getting there from the port
Walk into the old town, then join the wall from Söderport, Norderport or one of the staircases inside the walls.
