Lake Skadar is the largest lake in the Balkans, a national park of reed beds, water lilies and over 250 bird species, including pelicans. Small boats leave the village of Virpazar for one- to two-hour cruises past islets, monasteries and quiet bays framed by mountains. Bring a hat and water, and book the boat on arrival or in advance.
