Bai Dai is the easy option at Cam Ranh: a long, wide sweep of pale sand a short ride from the CaraWorld shuttle stop, far quieter than Nha Trang's city beach. Much of it fronts resorts, but public stretches and seafood restaurants give access, and several beach clubs sell day passes with a lounger, towel and pool. Swim in the morning, when the sea is calmest; from October to December waves and currents can be strong, so follow the flags.
