Po Nagar is the most important Cham site in southern Vietnam: a cluster of red-brick towers built between the 8th and 13th centuries on a rise above the mouth of the Cai River. The main tower, dedicated to the goddess Yan Po Nagar, is still used for worship by Cham and Vietnamese pilgrims, so expect incense, offerings and a dress code (cover shoulders and knees; robes are lent at the gate). From the terrace you look down on the river's blue fishing boats and the Xom Bong bridge.
