Any time; pair it with the harbor walk
Kodiak is one of America's busiest fishing ports, and this memorial in front of the Harbormaster's Office is where the town remembers the price of that. Brass plaques list the names of local fishers lost at sea. Every May, during the Kodiak Crab Festival, the names are read aloud. It takes ten minutes and sits right on the harbor walk, so combine it with a stroll past the working boats.
