Port summary

Cruise calls use Nha Trang Port (Cảng Nha Trang) at Cau Da, a small cargo harbour at the southern end of the city. Smaller ships berth alongside; larger ships anchor in the bay and tender passengers to the same pier. Many lines run a shuttle bus to the beachfront on Tran Phu street, 15–20 minutes away. Right by the port you can walk to the National Oceanographic Museum, the hilltop Bao Dai Villas and the cable car station for VinWonders on Hon Tre island. Everything else needs a short ride: the long city beach and Tran Phu promenade, Dam Market, the cathedral, Long Son Pagoda and, north across the Cai River, the Po Nagar Cham Towers and the mud-bath resorts. Nha Trang is one of Vietnam's easiest ports on your own. Grab and Xanh SM cars cost about ₫60,000–150,000 for most trips, sights are cheap, and a half day is enough for the towers, the pagoda and the market. With a full day, add an island boat trip from Cau Da wharf or a mud bath. Avoid October–December if you want boat trips: this is the rainy season and seas can be rough.
