The town's main plaza, named after Costa Rica's first president and the National Hero Juan Santamaría's commander Cañas. Mango and palm trees give it shade, a small kiosk sells coffee and snacks, and locals stop by the Cathedral after Mass. It's the easiest stop to combine with the Catedral.
