Late afternoon when the heat eases and locals come out.
The Paseo runs for 5 km along the south side of the Puntarenas peninsula — a flat sidewalk with palm shade, beach access on one side and locally-famous churchill snow-cones, ceviche sodas and gelato kiosks on the other. It's where Puntarenenses spend their evenings, and the easiest first thing to do off the ship.
