From the Port of Roatan (Coxen Hole) cruise terminal, West Bay is a 30–40 minute drive — a pre-booked shared van round-trip runs about $27pp (Discover Roatan, with a back-to-ship guarantee), versus an unregulated taxi you must negotiate (~$50–60 per car round trip). West Bay Beach itself is free public sand; the reef begins ~30m offshore inside the West Bay Marine Park. Snorkel gear rents on the beach for ~$10–15, or add it to the transfer for $24.99. A beach club lounger/day-pass or a food-and-drink minimum is the only other cost.

Gumbalimba Park is in West Bay, the same 30–40 minute drive from the Port of Roatan terminal as the beach (shared van ~$27pp round trip). Park admission is $35 adult / $25 child and includes the guided ~1.5-hour monkey-and-macaw walk; the Monkey Trail zip-line is a separate add-on (~$25–45). The park sells a discounted park+zip combo online. Bags can't go into the monkey areas, so budget $5 for a locker. Note the park no longer keeps sloths.
