Cheonjiyeon Waterfall — the Pond of the Emperor of Heaven — drops 22 metres into a deep emerald pool surrounded by lush subtropical forest including rare Gusil trees. A pleasant 500-metre forest walk from the entrance leads to the viewing platform. The pool is a designated natural monument and home to a protected species of eel.
Getting there from the port
Shuttle or taxi to Seogwipo centre, then 15-minute walk west. Follow signs from Cheonjiyeon Bridge.
