Port summary
Fushiki-Toyama Port is spread across three berthing areas and your ship may use any of them: the Shinminato / Kaiwo berth by Kaiwomaru Park (Imizu, near Takaoka), the Toyama berth at Higashi-Iwase (best for the tram into Toyama city) or the Fushiki wharf (Takaoka side). None is in a city centre, so you will use a cruise shuttle, a taxi, the local Manyosen or Portram trams, or JR trains. The headline day trips are big: Kanazawa and its Kenrokuen garden are about an hour by train via the Hokuriku Shinkansen; the UNESCO gassho-zukuri villages of Gokayama are roughly 60-75 minutes by road; Takaoka's Great Buddha and the National-Treasure Zuiryuji temple, the scenic Amaharashi coast and the Shinminato fish market are all closer. Toyama city itself has a moated castle, the Kengo Kuma glass museum and the pretty Kansui canal park.

From the cruise terminal to the city centre
On cruise days a shuttle usually runs from the berth to a nearby hub (Takaoka or Toyama station, or Kaiwomaru Park); confirm the last return time on board.
📍 Shuttle stop beside the terminal tent at the berth
Taxis meet cruise calls; agree a route and price first for Gokayama, Kanazawa or a half-day tour of Takaoka and Amaharashi.
📍 Taxi rank at the berth on cruise days
The Manyosen tram (Shinminato) and the Portram light rail (Iwase) link the berths to Takaoka and Toyama city; from there JR and the Hokuriku Shinkansen reach Kanazawa.
📍 Kaiwomaru or Higashi-Iwase station near the berth
From the Shinminato / Kaiwo berth it is a short walk to Kaiwomaru Park and the Kittokito fish market, but the towns and city are far - use the tram, a shuttle or a taxi.
📍 Exit the berth toward Kaiwomaru Park
