Walk from the cruise terminal along the Riva to Piazza Unità (5 min, free), then explore the city centre on foot — Roman Theatre, Cathedral of San Giusto, Canal Grande are all within a 15-minute radius. Take bus 6 or 36 from Piazza Oberdan to Miramare Castle (20 min, €1.40). The castle entry is €10 (park only €4). Return by the same bus.

Drive or take a GoOpti/FlixBus shuttle from Trieste to Postojna (~1 hour). The cave entry including the underground train is €31 adult; combo ticket with Predjama Castle is €43.
