Savannah Bay is a long shallow arc of pale sand on the sheltered north-west side of the island, about ten minutes north of the marina by taxi. The water is calm, waist deep a long way out and clear enough to snorkel around the rocks at either end. What it does not have is anything else at all: no bar, no loungers, no toilets, no shade beyond a thin line of sea grape, and no passing traffic. Bring water and sunscreen, and fix a pick-up time with the driver who brings you out, because there is no way to summon another one from the beach.
Getting there from the port
Ten minutes north by taxi; agree a pick-up time, as nothing passes the beach
