Dive and snorkel operators work directly out of Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour, which makes a boat trip one of the few things here you can do without a taxi. Morning departures run out to the reefs and pinnacles around the sound and, on longer trips, across to the wreck of the RMS Rhone off Salt Island, one of the best-known dives in the Caribbean. Snorkel trips start around seventy US dollars and a two-tank dive from about a hundred and fifty. Book ahead, because boats are small and the schedule is built around a fixed departure rather than your tender.
