The Valley of the Queens (Ta-Set-Neferu, 'Place of Beauty') holds 90 tombs of New Kingdom queens, princes and princesses. The crown jewel is QV66 — Nefertari's tomb, with the most vivid surviving wall paintings of any pharaonic site. Nefertari requires a separate ticket and capped daily entries; book ahead through your tour operator.
